	Mediaforest was on Wanadoo Internet site's front page on Tuesday 7th September 1999 on the occasion of its report on fire-fighting at Sainte Eulalie en Born and on 14th January 2000 after the storms in December 1999.
	Hyper Net Mediaforest was to the forefront of the broadcast on 26th December 2000 on the theme of "The forest after the storms"
	Demain ! en Aquitaine The Athena multimedia centre and Sylvicole Valley programme were the subject of a report on the employment channel, on 30th January and 25th April 2001.
	France 3 Aquitaine Sylvicole Valley was the subject of a report on the 19>20 TV programme on Tuesday 10th April 2001. The same report was re-broadcast on Wednesday 11th April 2001, but this time in the 12>14 national edition.
	France Bleu Gascogne devoted a whole week to Mimizan, from 18th to 22nd February 2002. The President, the Head of Economic Development, the Director of the Multimedia Centre and the MD of FP Bois were interviewed on this occasion.
	Sylva A report on forest fires, more particularly in the Landes, and the surveillance network of which Mediaforest is a part. Broadcast on Monday 18th November 2002 at 7 p.m.

Awards

Puces de Silicium
The Mimizan "Communauté de Communes" won a "Puces de Silicium" award in 1997 for the creation of its Athena centre (multimedia centre for training with free access) opened to the general public in 1994.

Best territorial Internet site
In 1999, www.mimizan.com obtained the second prize for the best territorial Internet site, in a competition organised by AIT, Lettre du Cadre territorial, Microsoft, France Telecom and Mercure.

National prize for initiative
This prize was awarded to Jean Bourden, President of the Mimizan "Communauté de Communes" in 1999 by the association of Mayors of Classified Resorts and Tourist Communes, for his programme of action concerning tourism exploring the timber sector.

Marianne d'Or 2001
The President of the Mimizan "Communauté de Communes" won the Marianne d'Or award for his action in favour of the timber sector. Packages on the theme of discovery of the forestry business, hosting and organisation of events, Mediaforest, Athena Centre, Sylvicole Valley: all these initiatives won over the Marianne d'Or jury.
